ANGELA DOESN'T FOLLOW TRENDS...

...she sets them. Her simple, forthright approach to dishes of taking few ingredients, in season and in peak condition, and bringing them together with the minimum of fuss has won her many plaudits. This approach is consistent whether the dish is being served in one of her restaurants, or at a stunning Smart-catered event. To have the confidence to serve simple food with very few ingredients is rare; and Angela's impact on what we do is evident in the quality of what we serve.

SMART BY ANGELA HARTNETT

In recent years, Angela Hartnett has emerged as one of Britain's most successful and best-loved chefs.

She was awarded her first Michelin star in 2004 and in 2007 was awarded an MBE for her services to the hospitality industry. She is Chef Patron and owner of acclaimed Mayfair restaurant, Murano, and has partnered with Smart Hospitality since 2010, when we joined together to manage the event and restaurant catering at Whitechapel Gallery.

Following this success, Angela has worked closely with Smart's team of Chefs and operators to bring her exceptional menus to the events sector. Our range of Smart by Angela Hartnett packages offer clients the opportunity to taste some of Angela’s signature dishes, through to having Angela present at the event, preparing the dishes in person and interacting with guests. We have already delivered a range of outstanding high-end events, from sophisticated dinners for world leaders and awards banquets for fortune 500 companies, to cocktails and canapés featuring celebrity entertainment.

PACKAGES

We offer a number of options whereby you can involve Angela Hartnett within your event, some of which are detailed below. Of course, if you have something particularly bespoke in mind, please get in touch with us; we’d be delighted to discuss your requirements.

OPTION 1: Smart by Angela Hartnett Full Experience

  • Creation of a bespoke menu written and prepared by Angela Hartnett
  • Angela will be present for the duration of your event, running the kitchen to ensure all food is prepared in accordance with each menu specification
  • Angela will personally interact with your guests, and will be more than happy to sign copies of her book or menus as requested.

OPTION 2: Smart by Angela Hartnett Experience

  • A seasonal menu written by Angela Hartnett
  • Angela will be present for the duration of your event, running the kitchen to ensure all food is prepared in accordance with each menu specification

OPTION 3: Smart by Angela Hartnett Menu

  • A seasonal menu written by Angela Hartnett
  • Angela will source, appoint and arrange for a Head Chef of a standard comparable to a Head Chef at Murano to be present for the duration of your event to oversee the kitchen.

MAIN COURSES

  • Pan roasted Creedy carver chicken, duck fat roast potatoes, honey glazed carrots, Savoy cabbage, bread sauce and redcurrant jus

  • Braised lamb neck, polenta cake and root vegetables

ROYAL ASCOT, WINNING POST GARDEN PICNICS BY ANGELA

We are delighted to announce that Royal Ascot has once again commissioned the design of bespoke menus for the Winning Post Gardens 2015. Created by Angela, the delicious range of hamper buffets are the perfect complement for the world’s finest racing. These hampers and boards are exclusive to the Winning Post Gardens at Royal Ascot and have been designed especially to complement the size and style of the pavilions.

SIGNATURE HAMPER £65 PER HEAD (MIN 12)

The ‘Signature’ hamper is designed to serve a delicious lunch for 12 people or more and include all service equipment required. The ‘signature’ is delivered to your pavilion at a time that suits you, set out and then collected 2 hours later. Upon delivery the team will be on hand to talk through each of the dishes and how they were created.

The meal is served with crisp white linen napkins and complimented with Wedgwood cutlery and bespoke crockery.


MENU

WHOLE ROAST CREEDY CARVER CHICKEN, LEMON, GARLIC
The chicken will be served on a large wooden chopping board and broken into delicious pieces by our team

ROASTED SIRLOIN BEEF, ROCKET AND PARMESAN
Angela takes six delicious sirloin steaks, grills them and tosses them in olive oil and red wine vinegar before carving on to a bed of young rocket and parmesan

SMOKED PORK BELLY, ASPARAGUS, WILD GARLIC
This meaty salad is complimented by the wild garlic and English asparagus

BEETROOT AND FENNEL CURED SALMON, LEMON, CAPER
Loch Duart Salmon is cured with beetroot and fennel then served with a caper and lemon dressing

Grilled asparagus, shallots and cashews (v)
Ewes cheese salad, honey dressing, pumkin seeds
Chilled tomato salad, gazapacho (v)
New potatoes and shallots and chives (v)

GRAZING MENU £45 PER HEAD (MIN 12)

The grazing menu is designed to be flexible and available to graze at all day. This is a mix of Italian and British tapas that is specifically designed to be as great after the last race as it was at the first. A delicious lunch for 12 or more people and include all service equipment required. The ‘grazing’ is delivered to your pavilion at a time that suits you, set out and then collected 2-3 hours later. Upon delivery the team will be on hand to talk through each of the dishes and how the were created. The meal is served with high quality white disposable napkins and disposable cutlery.

In 2012, Angela led our chef team in delivering world-class corporate hospitality at the Olympic Hospitality Centre at London 2012, designing menus which were tailored to the exacting needs and style of each of our major sponsor clients. Dishes varied from five star elegance in the IOC suite through to an informal all-American style dining experience for Coca-Cola suite; all produced to Angela’s impressive standards.
