3 MOTIVATIONAL GUEST SPEAKERS TO HAVE AT YOUR CONFERENCE IN 2015
Thu 26 Feb 2015
If you want to inspire, motivate, entertain or educate your audience, you are in the right place. Over the last 20 years we have held hundreds of conferences at Battersea Evolution and we can confirm an inspirational speaker is worth their weight in gold. If you want to make an impact that your guests will remember, take a look at 3 of our speakers below:
John Peters - RAF Pilot in the gulf war
Whilst carrying out a dangerous, low-level, daylight raid on Al Rumaylah South West airbase, John’s Tornado was hit by a Surface to Air Missile or SAM for short, forcing him and his Navigator, John Nichol, to eject over enemy territory. Shortly after safely parachuting to the ground, the two men were captured by Saddam Hussein’s forces. What ensued was seven weeks of physical and psychological brutality and torture. John’s severe mistreatment was thrust into the living room of every household across the globe as that now iconic image of his bruised and battered face was paraded on Iraqi state television. However, as a phoenix rises from the ashes, John emerged from his experience a stronger, more resilient and more confident individual. And whilst one would not ever welcome such an ordeal, he realises that it was probably the making of him. It is this attitude that has made John so sought after as a speaker.
Mo Farah, double Olympic & double world champion
On the 4th August 2012, Farah created history at the London Olympic Games. In his first race Mo capped off 'Super Saturday' by winning the 10,000m gold in a time of 27:30.42. This was Great Britain's first ever Olympic gold medal in the 10,000m and came after two other gold medals for Great Britain in the same athletics session. A week later on the 11th August 2012, Mo completed the hardest track double of them all by winning the 5,000m in a time of 13:41.66. Farah now joins just 5 people (Zatopek, Kuts, Viren, Yifter, Bekele) in the history of the Olympic Games to win the 5k/10k double and the only athlete to do it on home soil.
Mo Farah tells a story of a journey which started in Somalia and features the inspirational moment his PE teacher realised he had a gift as a young child on the sports field.

She became MD of Birmingham City at the age of 23, and is now Vice Chairman of West Ham and one of the UK’s best known business personalities. Karren Brady is tough, ambitious, focused and has a wicked sense of humour… just don’t ask her which team she supports.
Passionate and straight-talking she has become one of the business world's most popular motivational and after-dinner speakers. Karen gives a compelling account of her unstoppable success, with plenty of insights, advice and anecdotes gained from her colourful career in football, publishing and business leadership.
