The BT Sports Industry Awards
Inside the dining area, the awards ceremony took place on a 50m wide stage. Additional screens were rigged around the dining area ensuring a superb view of the ceremony for all.
Ahead of a huge year for rugby, O2’s long-term partnership with England Rugby was rejuvenated to win Best Sponsorship of a Team or Individual, sponsored by Kantar Media, with Rugby World Cup 2015’s Too Big To Miss awarded Best Integrated Marketing Campaign, sponsored by Battersea Evolution.
In the individual Awards, 20-time Champion Jockey and lifelong Arsenal fan AP McCoy rounded off his first week of retirement by accepting the Outstanding Contribution to Sport Award, sponsored by CWM Cyclone Promotions, from Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and broadcaster Clare Balding. McCoy received a standing ovation from the packed audience at Battersea Evolution.
Sir Keith Mills received the Barclays Lifetime Achievement Award for his success across the London 2012 Games, International Inspiration and Invictus Games, amongst many other roles including his work with Tottenham Hotspur and America’s Cup in the last 15 years that have led to a major and lasting impact across sport.
UNICEF ambassador Eddie Izzard was delighted to present UNICEF and The Commonwealth Games Federation with the Leadership in Sport Award, sponsored by Nolan Partners, after orchestrating a remarkable and innovative Opening Ceremony that helped raise over £5m to put children first across the Commonwealth.
Chelsea player of the year awards
On Tuesday 26th May, Battersea Evolution played host to the Chelsea Player of the year awards. The club had branded the atrium with hanging flag banners and black and white photo's of the team and fans on the back wall.
Guests arrived to a champagne drinks reception before being invited through to the dining area with a central stage. Table centres consisted of mini mannakins with Chelsea football shirts.
The host for the evening was Clare Balding who delivered awards to the players including the 'players player' and 'goal of the season'.
Smart Hospitality delivered an exquisite menu including smoked duck with duck parfait, confit duck croquettes, brioche, caper and raisin puree for starter. Main course consisted of slow roast shoulder of lamp, garlic cream mash potato and mint and pancetta crumble.
After the awards, guests were entertained with a live and silent auction as well as a DJ and band.
RPA Awards Dinner
The Rugby Players’ Association (RPA) staged the 17th Annual RPA Players’ Awards at Battersea Evolution.
The prestigious central London event played host to some of the biggest names in the game and honoured the outstanding achievements of the season so far, as well as raising over £130,000 for Restart Rugby, the official charity of the Rugby Players’ Association.
The funds raised at this annual event are crucial to the work of Restart Rugby, which was established in 2001 to support professional players who have suffered serious injury, illness or hardship.
THE TELEGRAPH SKI & SNOWBOARD SHOW RETURNS TO BATTERSEA EVOLUTION - 27TH - 30TH OCTOBER 2016

The winners of the 52nd Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition were revealed at a lavish event on Tuesday 18th October 2016. Held inside the world famous Natural History Museum in London, the awards were catered for by leading event caterers Moving Venue by Smart.
