MOVING VENUE BY SMART LETS THE FOOD & DRINK DO THE TALKING AT ÉPERNAY EXPERIENCE

On 4th September 2015 Moving Venue by Smart headed to the capital of Champagne, Épernay, for an experience which will have a resounding impact on the company’s future ethos and products!
In a radical move, all 35 staff including Smart Hospitality, Smart Hospitality Manchester and Smart Group Senior Management, were whisked across the channel to thrash out their collaborative autumn/winter menus. The aim of the exercise was to establish a special steering group, headed up by Executive Head Chef David Ridgway, to guide culinary direction going forward.
A cornerstone objective of the three-day experience was to strike a balance between customer and chef, ensuring that event managers are able to manage the expectations of the client against the ambition of the chef.
In the atmospheric surroundings of Maison Champagne Taittinger, the home of, arguably, the world’s most famous alcoholic drink, staff and management came together to look at various issues, including improving communication channels between different departments.
In this effervescent forum, the whole group literally flowed with new ideas on how our food offerings could be more nuanced, assets could be better used and ensuring everyone remained client focused.
This event was only made possible through the strong partnership between Moving Venue by Smart and the company’s long-standing wine supplier, The Vintner. Tom Gilbey, their Managing Director, added:

Our autumn/winter menus will be released this autumn and are available to corporate and private bookers across a range of event set-ups.

LANDING FORTY TWO HOSTS SHOWCASE EVENT TO LAUNCH NEW PARTNERSHIP

The event was attended by 150 guests, which included Kuoni, Clifford Chance, Barclays, EMAP and Hello Magazine. Guests enjoyed tequila cured Scottish salmon loin and Oscietra caviar crème fraîche canapés.
