It runs in the family
With his father being in the catering and hospitality industry throughout his life, a step into the industry was a natural movement for Jake. Beginning his career in Smart’s kitchens gifted Jake with a thorough understanding of the company’s heart: great food. Moving into the office with a foundation of knowledge, Jake now sells hospitality and sports packages, integrating the food he was so passionate about.
“The Olympic games were awesome!”
Jake's proudest achievement is having the opportunity to work alongside some fantastic chefs, including Smart's very own Angela Hartnett. After being asked about the most exciting event he has helped produce, Jake replied “undoubtedly the opening night of London 2012. The Olympic games were awesome!”. Working front of house at the OHC, Jake helped provide the experience and enthusiasm needed to make the event a true success.
From the slopes to the pub
When Jake is not enjoying some great food in a quiet country pub, he is playing squash or rugby with friends, that is of course, if he isn’t exploring new countries in search of new mountains to ski.
