From Chalet Girl to top-knotch Assistant Event Manager
Hannah started her career in the event industry as a part-time waitress for Smart whilst finishing her a-levels. She then set off and worked two ski seasons as a chalet host. Having her eyes opened to the world of hospitality, it wasn't long until Hannah was back at Smart furthering her knowledge of the events industry.
Starting back as Event Coordinator, Hannah's hard work, enthusiasm and unquestionable work ethic helped to establish her as a key member of the Smart Hospitality Operations team. This soon led to a well-earned promotion to Assistant Event Manager.
Cruising the Thames
Hannah enjoyed the fine world of classic english summer events this year, as she looked after guests at our exquisite suite at Henley Royal Regatta. Hannah took our guests on a boat up and down the Thames. We did three journeys a day serving canapés and drinks. It was a beautiful event full of colour and delicious food. 'The location of our suite was stunning, we were right in front of the Temple Island, so our guests would sit on the river bank after lunch to watch the races. I love to see our guests enjoying themselves doing simple things like dangling their feet in the water with a glass of pimms in hand.'
Sampling the finest cocktails
It's true to say that if you work in Hospitality, there's nothing better than sampling new trends in your own time. Hannah loves trying out new restaurants and bars with friends. Hannah balances her gym time with chocolate time. A win win in our eyes!
