Perfect sense

Christophe moved to London after graduating from university with a Master’s Degree in Management & Accountancy. After having previously worked in bars and restaurants, applying his financial skills in the hospitality industry made perfect sense.

Guidance though a fog of figures

His experience is extensive and this obvious within the office. Beginning his career as a General Manager of a bar, restaurant, internet lounge and on-line hotel situated on Portobello Road, London, Christophe wanted to put his financial skills to the test. Christophe moved to become a Finance Project Manager located in the County Hall Complex. Here he managed the finances of a new home drinks delivery service and boutique. After acquiring the taste, Christophe moved on as Financial Controller at Gruppo, which is now known as Peyton and Byrne. Six years at Gruppo and Christophe was hungry for more, taking the position of Head of Finance of Tate Catering. Here he led the finance team for catering activities and the provision of catering services for corporate events across all Tate Galleries. From leading to directing, Christophe now guides our finance team at Smart through the amazing numbers our activities produce.

The London Olympic Games

An easy answer was produced when asked of the most exciting event Christophe has worked on. “My favourite projects I have worked on to date have to be the Opening & Closing ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympic Games at the OHC. It was great to be part of such a globally renowned event.” When Christophe is away from numbers he is still surrounded by food, enjoying cooking and hosting dinner parties. Whether he is building businesses or undertaking home improvement projects, Christophe is always creating. When he was asked of his proudest moment in life, he replied, “It’s quite a soppy answer, but becoming a father.”
