Fast paced, diverse, fun and Smart
After being asked why the events industry was the one for her, Amy replied, “I wanted a career that was fast paced, where I would meet different people on a daily basis and generally have fun at work.” These are definitely attributes that can and already are being achieved at Smart. But wouldn’t they, with Amy’s impressive past experience.
Starting work for Rhubarb Food Design as an intern in 2009, once Amy had finished her degree in 2011, she returned to Rhubarb as an event planner for 2 years. When the time was right, Amy moved into venue operations at the London Film Museum. This was then followed by a job at the London Eye working in corporate sales and events.
A Tudor Banquet at Buckingham Palace is just one that springs to mind
Throughout her time, Amy has worked on a range of different events from conferences, awards ceremonies, large & small dinners, fashion shows, weddings, bat mitzvah’s and product launches.
When asked which event has been the most exciting, Amy couldn’t put her finger on one, name dropping the Queen's staff Christmas party at Buckingham Palace, the Opening of the Shard, a Jimmy Choo fashion show and a Tudor Banquet at Buckingham Palace, as just a few that spring to mind.
Serious about shopping
When out of the office, Amy is out on the town. If she is not with friends, experiencing the latest bars and restaurants to hit the streets of London, she is nursing her pretty serious shopping addiction.
