We are looking for an experienced candidate to take a leading role in the successful development and delivery of the Bar & Beverage operation through quality management of the Group's Cellars.

This role is ideal for a highly organised and collaborative cellar manager with an extensive knowledge of beverage stock control. Working collaboratively across the business, you will maintain the standards required of cellar management delivering quality, consistency and professionalism.

THE ROLE

This role is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within an exciting and fast-moving business. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn from an experienced team.

The candidate will oversee the beverage operation for the group, taking a leading role in the successful development and delivery of the Bar & Beverage operation through quality management of the Group’s Cellars. The candidate will be required to set up and maintain the standards required of cellar management delivering quality, consistency and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES

  • Ensuring the beverage held in the cellars is stored in the optimum conditions to avoid waste and spoilage.
  • Accepting and checking deliveries, returning empty casks and kegs, carbon dioxide cylinders, bottles, crates and other items.
  • Placing all beverage orders for all events, ensuring orders are placed in good time with the correct suppliers.
  • Monitoring the day to day pricing of beverage supplies (via Indicater) to ensure goods are supplied within the terms of agreed contracts.
  • Keeping the cellar to agreed stock level and suggesting ways of using up old stock and bin ends.
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge of our venues, clients, competitors, markets and the industry, and an awareness of the impact of any developments in these areas.
  • Complying with the requirements of MV’s Health & Safety/Food Safety policy and procedures and observing safe working practices both at base and at events.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience in cellar management.
  • Extensive knowledge of beverage stock control.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build very good rapport with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive in approach to tasks and project work.
  • Personable disposition.
  • Collaborative.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite.
