We are looking for an exceptional individual who is a reliable, highly organised, skilled multi-tasker and committed to meeting deadlines.

THE ROLE

This is a new position within a growing finance department, with a primary focus on producing management accounts for the venue, seasonal events and event management companies within our Group, while working closely and supporting our existing Management Accountant for the catering division.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in management accountant role is preferred
  • Experience in a fast paced hospitality environment is highly desirable
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant
  • Proficient knowledge of Sage and Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build very good rapport with all stakeholders
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Have excellent attention to detail as well as analytical and numerical skills
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Personable disposition
  • Collaborative

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

Managing the preparation of timely month-end and yearly management accounts, including;

  • Full balance sheet reconciliation
  • Preparation and posting of journals including accruals, accrued income, prepayments, prepaid income and payroll journals
  • Analysing project margins and overheads variances to budget
  • Updating the fixed asset register, prepare and post depreciation journals
  • Overseeing the sales ledger operation and providing cashflow reports.
  • Maintaining depreciation schedules and ensuring the correct depreciation is calculated
  • Review and submit quarterly VAT returns for multiple companies
  • Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
  • Process payments on online banking
  • Reconciling bank accounts, managing credit card expenditure
  • Completion of audit files, supervision of the audit process and liaising with auditors
  • Monitoring receivables, payables, and cash flow
  • Ad-hoc reporting and project work as required
  • Dealing with Intercompany recharges
  • Processing PAYE & Payroll payments (including bank transfers)
