Freemasons' Hall Showcase and Party 2018

Last night, Smart Christmas Parties hosted the annual Smart Client Showcase and Party at the delightful Freemasons’ Hall, Covent Garden.

We got the chance to show off our award-winning, Grade II listed exclusive party venue and its vestibules, The Grand Temple and The Gatsby Club, and also got to showcase our 10 other Christmas Party venues across London and beyond.

When guests arrived, they were greeted by our lovely hosts who lead them to The Gallery, also known as The Gatsby Club, where waiting staff were ready with an abundance of champagne, soft drinks and canapés. Guests then had the chance to view the space, and also learn about some of the other exclusive party venues we offer here at Smart. Guests were then escorted to The Grand Temple where more food, champagne and cocktails were offered, where our roaming band Roameo entertained the guests, and a speech was made from our MD of Battersea Evolution and Smart Seasonal Venues, Stephen Lawrence. Guests also had the chance to speak with our team about our four shared parties: Around The World In 80 Days at Battersea Evolution, Christmas in New York at Finsbury Square, Après at Willows Farm and Christmas at the Cutty Sark.

Moving Venue offered a wide selection of delicious hot and cold canapés and bowl food. Some of the cold canapés included steak tartare on sourdough crisp topped with quail egg yolk, and poached lobster on toast with dill lime mayo, tobiko caviar and watermelon. Some of the hot bowl food options included pan-seared hake with harissa butterbeans, brown shrimp and lemon gremolata, and grilled rump steak with Lyonnaise potatoes and béarnaise sauce. Dessert was certainly not forgotten, with a whole dessert bar running along one of the vestibules, offering nitrogen-poached meringues, shattered fruits, frozen rocks of chocolate, and a light cheesecake mousse. Bowl food dessert was also circulated around the venue, which included Old Tom Gin snowballs, and chocolate Guinness cake with melted mousse and roasted cocoa nibs.

Champagne and cocktails were also circulated while guests networked and chatted to our hosts. These delicious cocktails included salted caramel espresso martini, rhubarb and fennel fizz, and a rhubarb and rosehip cocktail.
