We've all been there... Take a look at our top tips for getting through the day after your work Christmas party!
According to a Chinese study in 2014 – Sprite is scientifically shown to help your hangover!
Sweat it out, that’s right. It’s hard to imagine but exercise will make you feel better with a rush of endorphins. If the gym is too much thought to bare, try a swim and sauna or a hot yoga class instead.
DODGE THE CAFFEINE
It will give you a high but then a massive low. Try a red bush tea instead; full of antioxidants to help you get those toxins out.
Work towards a lunchtime treat. It’s all fun and giggles in the office the morning after the Christmas do, but by 11am everyone’s hit a wall. Treat yourself to something yummy at lunchtime. Our favourites are a burrito from Chipotle or a cheeky Nando’s (obviously!)
GET THINGS DONE
Get the hardest tasks of the day out the way first – leave the menial stuff to the afternoon when you are bound to be feeling sleepy.
Head out for some fresh air – if you are hitting that ‘wall’, take 10 and go for a stroll.
HAIR OF THE DOG
It’s true to say a quick one at the pub might just sort you out. A smoked Vodka Bloody Mary from the Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden does it for us!
Water is a must to cure a hangover. Down 16 to 20 ounces of water before falling into bed and, if you’re really keen to avoid that hangover, order water between drinks to replace fluids as you go. Although the already frequent trips to the bathroom during a night out may put people off this tip...
TAKE A SHOWER
Freshening up can do wonders for your mind. If you’re not already late for work, jump in the shower and wash that hangover away.
