A Royal Regatta To Remember At Henley

The Henley Royal Regatta now in its 177th year, is a highlight on the British summer season. The five day rowing extravaganza attracts ardent enthusiasts from around the world to the famous two-kilometre stretch of the River Thames. The Temple Island enclosure is widely regarded as one of the finest hospitality facilities on the course in which to entertain during the regatta and is located a stone’s throw from the start line. Guests enjoyed a delicious four course lunch and afternoon tea prepared by Smart Hospitality under the watchful eye of Head Chef Richard Hawthorn. The Henley Royal Regatta is a standard bearer in excellence and continues to showcase the best of British. 

Following summer drinks on the river bank, guests of the Temple Island enclosure tucked into a sumptuous four course lunch, which began with a salad of rare beef, papaya, crisp vegetables, lemongrass and a muscovado dressing. For main course, guest enjoyed roast Hake fillet and crab cannelloni, spinach, cherry vine tomatoes and buttered new potatoes. Dessert comprised of an artfully presented cassis parfait roulade with blackberry yoghurt sorbet. Following lunch, guests were treated to an optional champagne river cruise to complement their Henley Regatta experience.
