WHAT THE ROLE REQUIRES

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role for a talented and motivated chef who thrives in a production environment.

As a Sous Chef, you’ll support the Head Chef of Production in delivering high-quality food at scale, working across all kitchen sections, leading teams, and ensuring everything is delivered on time, on budget, and to an exceptional standard.

You’ll also be involved in live events, bringing your food to life on-site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Head Chef of Production in managing the day-to-day running of the production kitchen
Oversee food production across seasonal menus, themed events, and special projects
Allocate tasks across the kitchen team, ensuring efficiency and high standards
Lead, motivate, and develop the production kitchen brigade
Assist with food preparation across all sections when required
Attend planning meetings to review upcoming events and workloads
Support staff rota planning in line with business needs and budgets
Work closely with senior chefs and kitchen management on staffing and operations
Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and storage standards are consistently met
Maintain accurate food safety records and compliance with company policies
Oversee cleanliness and organisation of kitchen areas and equipment
Support ordering and stock management with accurate and timely submissions
Assist with packing and distribution for events
Work on-site at events when required

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Experience working in a fast-paced production or events kitchen
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
A hands-on approach with a passion for high-quality food
Experience leading or supervising a kitchen team
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to standards
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance
A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
Flexibility to support events and varying business demands
