Moving Venue is one of the original event caterers in London. We have been impressing clients with outstanding events since 1984. Our reputation for delicious food and outstanding excellence has secured us a place on the accredited supplier list of over 40 venues, in and around London.

From historic palaces, to museums, blank canvasses and everywhere in between, we can cater for you just about anywhere, bringing our vast experience and operational knowledge along for the ride.

WHAT THE ROLE REQUIRES

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role suited to someone with early experience in event operations who is ready to step up.

You’ll take ownership of your events, supporting the planning process and leading delivery on-site, ensuring everything runs smoothly and to a high standard.

We pride ourselves on Operational knowledge and delivery, if you have a passion for operating and delivering outstanding events, you would be the ideal person for this role. You will be support and guided by our Senior Operations team to develop your experience and venue knowledge.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and manage detailed event files, including planning and ordering
Lead the on-site delivery of events from set up through to breakdown
Manage FOH & BOH teams, ensuring excellent service standards
Coordinate staffing, equipment, and logistics
Liaise with venues, suppliers, and internal teams
Oversee food & beverage service during events
Ensure compliance with health & safety and company standards
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time
Support pre- and post-event administration and costings

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

1–2 years’ experience in event operations or a similar role
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
Excellent attention to detail
Confident communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, can-do attitude with willingness to learn
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Knowledge of London venues (desirable, not essential)
