Friends of Battersea 2026
On June 9th, our team members from Evolution London, Moving Venue and the wider Smart Group volunteered their evening to host the annual Friends of Battersea BBQ.
Cooking up another successful BBQ
Tuesday 9th June 2026, the team at Smart Group once again hosted their annual Friends of Battersea BBQ, located at Battersea Park’s Bowling Green.
Attended by members from the local community, Smart Group organised the BBQ and provided a delicious spread of food from Moving Venue catering. Juicy burgers, tasty hot-dogs and fresh summer salads fuelled everyone for a lovely evening to kick off the summer season.
Whilst tucking into their food, attendees enjoyed the talent of multiple musical acts throughout the course of the evening; contributing to the relaxed vibes all-round. Alongside the delicious food and musical entertainment, we also offered an array of children’s activities, a silent raffle and charity tombola for everyone to enjoy.
For us, the Friends of Battersea BBQ, marks the importance of contributing to our local community and supporting charities that align with our ethos. It is essential that whilst we celebrate these organisations, we host sustainable events with the environment kept in mind. That is why we collaborate with Enable and Wandsworth Council to guarantee our events remain community-led and sustainable.
