THE ROLE

We are recruiting for two exciting new roles. It is an amazing opportunity to join Smart Group.

Food is the beating heart of our company; all of our menus are carefully considered from field to fork, always with seasonal ingredients, producing bespoke, vibrant and expertly crafted catering at our extraordinary events.

Whether it be a stylish intimate dinner or a large-scale reception split across multiple spaces and floors, a high-profile awards dinner or a wedding in a Grade 1-listed palace – we’ve catered them all. Working across the likes of London’s most iconic and prestigious venues, our own flagship Evolution London, not to mention some of the country’s most notable sporting and cultural events, including Ascot, British Grand Prix and many others.

ABOUT YOU

  • Previous experience in delivering large scale and more intimate high-end events
  • Extensive knowledge of food seasonality and trends
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build very good rapport with suppliers and colleagues
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks
  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Personable disposition
  • Collaborative

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

  • Effectively support the Head Chefs with managing the production and canapés kitchens to ensure maximum productivity including seasonal menus, themed menus and special projects whilst maintaining high standards of food quality and profitability
  • Ensuring consistency in the planning and execution of all events
  • Assisting with the food preparation in all sections of the kitchen if required to ensure timely production of food and develop skills, flair and finesse
  • Meeting the requirements of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy, reducing wastage in all aspects of operation, and disposing of food and other materials with minimum impact on the environment
  • Taking primary responsibility for managing all Health & Safety aspects of the canapés’ kitchen both at base and on site
