Event Sales Executive

We are looking for an Events Sales Executive who will serve as the key account manager for Control Room A, a venue where both Moving Venue and Last Supper are exclusive catering partners.

Event Sales Executive

This is an exciting opportunity with Moving Venue, The Last Supper, and the broader Smart Group. The Smart Group is a dynamic events business with two catering brands, Moving Venue and The Last Supper. Moving Venue stands as London's most experienced event caterer, accredited at over 40 prestigious venues, successfully managing more than 400 events annually. Meanwhile, The Last Supper has established itself as one of London’s most innovative party catering companies, curating magical events for a diverse portfolio of corporate and private clients. Both brands maintain distinct identities and occupy unique positions in the market.

THE ROLE

The Event Sales Executive will serve as the key account manager for Control Room A, a venue where both catering brands are exclusive partners. Control Room A, situated within Battersea Power Station, is a landmark on the London skyline and a crucial element of the city’s identity. As part of the versatile Broadwick portfolio, the venue boasts exquisite Art Deco design, historic features, and an ideal setting for various events, including formal dinners, networking receptions, product launches, and conferences. Your role involves designing, producing, and delivering creative proposals in response to client briefs, acting as a cross-brand point of contact to determine the most appropriate caterer for each event. While each event will be managed by Event Planners post-confirmation, you will retain an overview of each event to ensure a high level of account management is maintained until event completion. You should have a passion for organisation, providing outstanding service to clients, and the ability to handle pressure professionally.

Beyond being the main contact for all Control Room A events, you will work with Moving Venue’s Head of Exclusive Venues as your line manager, to account manage catering at Landing Forty-Two, another Broadwick venue and Moving Venue’s flagship exclusive catering contract. Landing Forty-Two is London’s highest dedicated event space, located in the City’s financial district. While Control Room A and Landing Forty-Two will be your main venues, the Event Sales Executive will further support the Head of Exclusive Venues in account managing other Broadwick venues where Moving Venue is either an accredited or exclusive caterer.

This role will be split between Moving Venue’s base in Deptford, Last Supper in Elephant and Castle, Control Room A, and Landing Forty-Two, depending on business needs, with approximately 40% of the time spent at a venue. A flexible attitude and the ability to work between multiple teams are crucial.

This role offers a great opportunity for someone looking to grow within an exciting and fast-moving business. The individual will be nurtured and have the ability to grow within the team, as demonstrated by our proven track record at Moving Venue and the broader Smart Group. We are a close and committed team, fostering the right attitude for the ideal candidate to flourish.

The purpose of the Event Sales Executive role is to sell catering for events from inception to confirmation. The candidate is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and the venue, ensuring high-quality, profitable events, and achieving set targets.
